REPOSTING FROM MY FACEBOOK PAGE DATED FEBRUARY 12, 2026

I needed this song this morning. Maybe it will speak to you also.

I made a post a few days ago, then deleted it, then posted it again, then deleted it again. Yesterday someone I love and trust said she disagreed with something I had written. I started to question whether God had really called me to write. My greatest fear in sharing scripture with you is that I will take something out of context, that I will distort the word of God. I never want to lead anyone astray from the whole of the revealed word of God. This morning, I read from Exodus 39-40 and underlined the times this scripture said, “as the Lord had commanded.” I want everything that I do, say, write to be what the Lord has commanded. How do I know what that is? Not by what I want to do, but by studying scripture and praying with a willing obedience. Above all other things, really the only thing I need is God. Every hour. I have no defense but Him. I have no righteousness except His righteousness by His Spirit. I have no valuable knowledge or wisdom except what He speaks through scripture and His indwelling Spirit. Every hour I need Him. I can’t know what I am supposed to do, say, write (or not) unless He guides me. I need Him as my only guide.

If you, like me, have times when you question whether you are being obedient to God, don’t look to men (humans) for approval. Read scripture. Pray. Tell Him you need Him every minute, every hour.

John 8:31 Amplified Bible

31 So Jesus was saying to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word [continually obeying My teachings and living in accordance with them, then] you are truly My disciples.

John 15:10 Amplified Bible

10 If you keep My commandments and obey My teaching, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.

James 1:23-25 Amplified Bible

23 For if anyone only listens to the word without obeying it, he is like a man who looks very carefully at his natural face in a mirror; 24 for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he immediately forgets what he looked like. 25 But he who looks carefully into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and faithfully abides by it, not having become a [careless] listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he will be blessed and favored by God in what he does [in his life of obedience].
